Who We Are

CSPERA is a statewide organization open to all retired school employees, including both certificated and support personnel. The association was organized in 1950 to promote and protect the economic well-being and quality of life for all retired school employees.

Our efforts in legislation, health issues, retirement seminars, membership workshops, leadership training, volunteerism and communications are geared toward maintaining a high standard of living for Colorado retirees.

The Colorado School and Public Employees Retirement Association was founded in 1950 as a means of addressing the concerns of all retired school employees in Colorado. Our mission is to promote the personal, social, educational interests and economic security of retired school employees. We encourage a continuing interest in the advancement of education and we maintain active involvement in legislative processes affecting the well-being and quality of life of CSPERA members. We actively urge our members to participate in local, state and national governmental affairs. We strive to promote the awareness that CSPERA members with their experience, dedication and energy are valuable components of our society. We are actively involved in volunteerism in our local communities and we regard this as an important contribution to society.
